Since we're on the topic of race today. Here's an interesting profile on famed Japanese TV personality and token white guy Patrick Harlan.

I despise this guy, along with Bob Sapp and all the other guys who reinforce the goofy gaijin stereotype in Japan.

Yeah, Pakkun is a bit of a pain, but Dave Specter has to be the worst (and for a longer time), with Daniel Yamagata-benner-what's-his-name running a close second.

Fortunately, I mostly watch only Ska-Pa fare these days, so I don't have to deal with these clowns.

(Ah, and no, the source of my annoyance is not their being able to speak the local lingo better!)

I kind of like being stereotyped as a goofy gaijin. I'd rather Japanese people be amused by my supossed strange ways of behaving than be expected to conform to their rigid, restrictive and retarded societal norms. Keep up the good work Pakkun!

Weirdly, Pak-kun and Bob Sapp are BOTH from the same hometown. My hometown! The good ol' super conservative Colorado Springs. Represent.

He actually seems pretty intelligent, particularly the stuff he said about "katakana English" which is very true.

And if he's encouraging more Japanese to learn English, that's great.
