'Sambo' Hits Store Shelves

A while back I wrote this post about the controversy surrounding a plan by Japanese book publisher Zuiunsya to re-release the turn of the century children's book 'Little Black Sambo' in Japan.

Despite calls to halt its publication, or at least tone down its more racist aspects, the book has been released with illustrations that unbelievably are even MORE racist (and more crappy looking) than the original version. I wonder if Zuiunsya would be interested in my new children's book 'The Little Hitler Than Could'. I'm sure if the illustrations are "kawaii" enough they'll buy it!

Hey - what about the Japanese history textbook issue? We haven't heard any official avoidinglife comment on that? Are the anti-Japan protesets unfounded?

I dealt with the history text book thing in my last comic. I think that's about all the attention that issue deserves. I guess China has a right to be angry and all, but of course they are blowing things out of proportion. God knows what outright lies China is putting in their textbooks. Still what Japan is doing is roughly the same as German history textbooks only mentioning the holocaust by saying "...and the Nazis killed a few Jews". Anyway, I honestly don't care about this stuff and feel like I've already said too much.
