Expedia.com makes no sense

Either these are two separate flights taking off from Tokyo and landing in Toronto at exactly the same times, or it's really a single joint flight between Air Canada and ANA. The latter seems much more likely, which leads me to wonder what I get for my extra 5 bucks if I book through Air Canada? I hope it's one of these, but I'm not counting on it.

I would take the ANA just to give them the booking, even if it’s going to be the same flight. Saw some horrible incidents on different occasions on AC flights. An old Japanese lady sitting beside me asked for a pillow, the flight attendant came back and threw the pillow at her. Another time the flight attendant asked the passenger chicken or fish in a rude voice( while rolling her eyes) and then slammed the tray on the folding table. The worst one of all, was this slightly overweight 50+ year old attendant was walking up the isle and passenger was walking down the isle and told him to walk back to his seat so she can come through. She could have just walked literally two steps back for him to get to the lavatories. No wonder AC has gone sideways. Thank god JETs come on JAL. Attention Please!

I know what you mean. Since coming to Asian I've just been blown away by how much better the airlines here are. Even Vietnam's national air carrier is better than Air Canada. I had the misfortune of flying to Japan on Air Canada, probably on the same plane I'm heading back on in a month, and it was just an aweful flight. I guess in a way any flight you walk away from is ultimately a good one, so in that regard Air Canada is okay since they haven't killed me yet.
