If you want to see bears in Aomori, I suggest disguising yourself as an apple tree. Why? Read this.

Hey Jamie. I met a German guy yesterday when he came to pick up his daughter in my class and he reminded me SO much of you. His accent was pretty thick, but I think you could be brothers. Hope Canada is treating you well and the McDonalds tastes oishii.

It may not have been in aomori, but we managed to not only see bears, but also to shake hands with them. a fait accompli?

Evidently some Japanese schoolkid didn't have to disguise himself as an apple tree to get up close and personal with a bear.

I didn't really think wearing a bell could scare off a bear, but what do I know?

Jamie? Did Canada eat you?

I saw a very disturbing product the other day in the "Special Order" section of the local grocery store. It was called "Pepper Pot" by Campbell's. The first 3 ingredients were beef tripe stock, water, and beef tripe. I stopped reading after that and I would really like an explanation.
