Introducing CTVToronto.ca

03/25/08 | by Jamie | Categories: Deep Thoughts

So for several months now I've been hard at work building new local news websites for CTV affiliates across Canada. Our small team at CTV.ca has released in quick succession CTVBC.ca, CTVEdmonton.ca, CTVOttawa.ca and CTVWinnipeg.ca. To promote its new site, CTV BC is running a crazy ad campaign which you can see here, here and here. Today, finally, we re-launched CTV Toronto's website at CTVToronto.ca (formerly toronto.ctv.ca) using the new design. Please come by and check it out! I don't think CTV Toronto has any plans to make ads like the ones for BC, but they'll probably at least mention the new site on the news tomorrow night.

I feel that the Lord's Prayer should continue to be said in the Legislature. This country was built on Christian principles and we should continue to follow them. We can not change to please every one so lets continue to follow our original heritage. When we go to other countries they do not change to suit us why should we change to suit them.

Here here, it's wonderful to incorporate various cultural variations into our unique Canadian culture, however we should never lose that which we as a country hold dear either! It would imply to others that ours is less important ,and there's is more when both should be respected on their own merits.

I disagree. There's no place for religion in politics. Now why are we talking about that here again?

17/4/08: I want to know why Wheel-TRans is never mentioned when there is a pending strike. My husband has to use it only once a week, but as he has ABI,(brain injury) does'nt understand sometimes why it has to be cancelled. That in itself is a task for me, getting through to W.trans.

Phone numbers are not often given out to connect to various things. NOT everyone has na computer or wants one.

Regards Jean

My Canada is a tolerant, sofisticated, diverse society that is the envy of many peoples all over the world. Saying the Lords prayer in the legeslature is Christosentric and give the impression that one kind of Canadian is preferable to another. There are appropriate places for the Lords prayer. The legislature is not one of them. I am given to the impression that the legislature is there to represent the people, all people.

My Toronto is the York Mills C.I pool. I was on the York Mills Duckies swim team for the 3 years this school. I had the best time of my life. When i was told that they were closing the high school pools in Toronto i couldn't believe it. The pool at York Mills C.I is where i and I made life long friends, and had a great time being part of an amazing team. Go Duckies
