What do these people have in common?
Lately I've been getting a little tired of only reading the ramblings of my fellow utterly unfamous ESL teacher friends. Sure, many of them are really good writers and have interesting things to say, but honestly... why should I care what some lowly English teacher has to say about anything? They've never acted in a blockbuster film, had an album go platinum, or even appeared on a crappy reality show. That's why lately I've been reading celebrity blogs. They are just like regular blogs in content and form, but since they are written by famous people they are thus vastly superior in all possible ways. Here are a few noteworthy ones:
Wil Wheaton: The mother of all minor celebrity bloggers.
Rosie O'Donnell: Not for the faint of heart or stomach.
Adam Sandler: More of a video blog really.
Rupaul: A perfect example of what a celebrity blog should be like.
Rob Zombie: The scariest looking celebrity blog I've seen (aside from Rosie O'Donnell's).
Dave Barry: By the syndicated columnist that many people seem to like, but I've never read.
Moby: Big surprise, Moby has a blog.
Elyse Sewell: Great cynical musings from an Ex-America's Next Top Model contestant, booted for being too smart to be a model. (Thanks Kate)
Bare Naked Ladies: Dorky Canadian band, with obligatory dorky blog.
Matthew Good: Same as above, but with more political mumbo jumbo.
Dave Navarro: Jane's Addiction guitarist, and boyfriend of Carmen Electra.
Al Roker: This blog by NBC's rotund weatherman is the antithesis of Rob Zombie's blog in almost every way imaginable.
I found various other blogs by the likes of William Shatner and Melanie Griffith, but they don't seem to get updated regularity enough to be worth visiting more than once. The fine folks at Diarist.net who gave me their Best Use of Multimedia Award also have a list of their own. I haven't tried all the sites on their list, so it's possible that some of them might be fake. These blogs truly bring to home what US Weekly has been reminding us for years... Celebrities, they're just like us!
Update: More Star Blogs:
Tom Green (Thanks Hugh)
Noam Chomsky
Son of Sam
