From A Perfect World
For the last few months many people (mostly AOL "lusers") under the mistaken belief that this site has some sort of affiliation with MTV's "Pimp My Ride" have been leaving their ride pimping requests in the comments section of this old post. Clearly MTV wasn't doing its job in informing viewers how to properly get in touch with the show if they are all coming here. I spent a couple of minutes on Google and found the real contact information for Pimp My Ride and posted it here in the hopes of clearing up the confusion. Instead this just lead to two postings full of ride pimping requests. At first the comments were quite amusing to me, but recently the continuing stupidity of it all has started to make me give up all hope for humanity. I was just about to close the comments section on those two posts and put an end to this nonsense when I received the following comment:
Author: netta moore (cache-ntc-ac10.proxy.aol.com)
Email: ?????@aol.com
Url:
Comment:
hi my name is netta moore and i would love to be on your show my husband left me and my two childern for the gay life stile and is doing durgs im not looking for attion but i would love for you to pimp my ride so with that being said please pimp my ride oo and i love your show and i am in the middel of it right now so lov ya peace out love yal please pick me
I realize of course that by using the words "Pimp my Ride" in this story I will only wind up creating a third post full of dumb comments, but I don't care anymore. In fact I welcome it! While I'm at it, why not add some more misleading Google key words like "Jamie Lynn Spears' email address", or better yet "Lindsay Lohan's phone number"? I figure the more time AOL'ers spend on here writing comments, the less time they will spend outside doing harm to society. Besides, clearly they need the writing practice anyway.
