Gas

12/06/04 | by Jamie | Categories: Deep Thoughts

Gas prcies have really nose dived back home, but here in Aomori they are still in the 118-120 yen/litre range. What gives? Maybe the gas companies discovered that people in Japan are willing to pay anything for gas and they're in no rush to lower prices. Of course none of this will matter pretty soon as the end is near!

Luke ElliotYou should buy your gas in Mutsu, Jamie. It tends to be up to ten yen per litre cheaper than other places. In fact, I've heard it said that Mutsu has the cheapest gas in Japan, although I have no idea if that is really true.

jamieI noticed a once while driving into Mutsu that some of the stations around the city limits had incredibly cheap gas. I figured that there must be some kind of catch and kept driving. Now I wished I stopped.
