Google thinks Google may harm your computer

01/31/09 | by Jamie | Categories: Deep Thoughts

Google has been acting strange for us today both in IE and Firefox. No matter what we search for, we get the message "This site may harm your computer" and then I can't proceed any further. I don't think this is a Spyware issue because we also have a Mac and it is also having the same problem.

Could Bell Canada be doing some weird packet-sniffing stuff that's messing up Google? Anyone else having this happen to them today?

*Update: Seems like Google is working properly again

KeithLOL. I guess that's a good reason to never use the English version of Google: that's where all the undertested "features" always appear first.

Luke ElliotI had the same problem in Japan, but only in image search--fairly innocuous image searches, that is, and with the filter set to medium safe.
