New photos

10/20/03 | by Jamie | Categories: Deep Thoughts

I just bought myself a fancy new video camera (a panasonic gs-100K 3CC digicam to be exact) and have been trying to figure out all the buttons and features. Since the manual, menus and button lables are all in Japanese this is going to take a while. I haven't figured out how to upload movies to my computer yet, but I can upload pictures and crappy looking mpeg video clips. I've added a few more pictures to the 'Random' section of my photo gallery. Mostly just pics of my house and my desk at work for now. You can also check out this video clip of my office. Its pretty blury, but you can hear the pretty school bell chimes. In Japan you never hear bells or whistles or anything like that.. its always cutesy sounding music. More to come once I figure this contraption out. Sorry the images are pretty big, so I hope you aren't using a modem. Then again, the only person I know who still uses a modem these days is my uncle Ken, so I don't really care.

magnoliafanMy way cheaper, higher-quality digicam takes much smoother video clips and still shots without that grainy look that yours have! Sucker! Plus your buttons are all in Japanese? What a waste of money.

silentbobShut up Hugh. Don't make me and Jay come over and kick your ass. It's a video camera.. its not supposed to take good still pictures. I'm also still figuring out how to use it.. my next batch of pictures look better, and I know how to shoot better looking mpegs now too. As for the Japanese.. its pretty much all Katana which is easy enough to figure out, and I also downloaded a translated version of the instructions so its all good in the hood.
