Some Japanese scientists have become the first people in the world to photograph a giant squid in the wild. They "accidentally" snaged a tentacle from the creature on a bait hook and brought it up to the surface to "examine" it. I'm sure it won't be long until it winds up at Village Vanguard next to the canned whale and seal.
