Polestar Interview

A few weeks ago I, "The Most Famous JET Ever", was interviewed for the Polestar, the Hokkaido JET equiavalent of our own NoreSore magazine (Sorry, I know that's an old link but I can't find any more current NoreSores online). Anyway, here's a PDF of the latest edition of the Polestar. The interview in question is on page 9. If you don't already have it installed, you'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader to see it. Some of you may be surprised by what lies inside.

Kudoi knew nore sore sucked, but now that I know its not an across the board JET-incompetence thing and there are JETs out there who compose original articles, and know how to format a page layout AND can publish the whole thing in shiny online format...can I get my lousy 2000 yen back?

HughHey, we're just simple Aomori folk, we don't deserve fancy PDF files and graphic designed layouts. Hope you don't develop too big of a head, Jamie-you doll freak.

Luke ElliotSalutations to The Most Famous JET Ever: Great article, Jamie! Usually I don't have trouble keeping a poker face at work, but I'm sure I let out some undignified snorts of mirth in the last few minutes.

HughWell Luke, I think your blog is one of the best ever, I'm sure you'll develop a fanbase much larger than Jamie's as time goes by! Just keep on climbing trees and taking naked onsen photos.

JamieFirst Time magazine, then the Diarist Awards and now a Hokkaido JET publication. Yup, I'm really moving up in this world! If I ever make it into 'Feeler' surely my head will get so big that it will explode.

Autumn, I think that photo was taken by Hugh last year during the recontractor's conference in Tokyo at Harajuku.

SachiYou are very famous. I found this blog using Google in 2003 when I was looking for websites of people living in Aomori. Somebody I met back in the United States added a link to this website in his blog recently and he's not even a JET.
Keep up your good work!

JamieThanks Sachi!

Oh and by the way, Kudo, if you're going to bash our beloved Nore Sore at least have the guts to use your real name. I'm all for incendiary comments, but what's the fun if they're anonymous?

Favourite CousinThat's hilarious, now that you are famous Jamie it is time to come home and visit you family and bask in your fame & success. BTW, did you write the whole article yourself or were you actually interviewed?

JamieSorry cuz, but now that I'm "famous" I'm too big to spend time with my old family. Now I only have time for my Hollywood family of A-List celebrities like Loni Anderson.
