Powerful quake strikes northeastern Japan, tsunami warning issued

Just experienced the strongest earthquake I've felt in quite some time. It wasn't quite as strong as that one that greeted me when I first arrived two years ago. Looks like it was centered in Miyagi which is a fair distance south of here.

JamieActually Julie I was gravely injured, but for the sake of my loyal fans I will continue bloging for as long as I can stay conscious.

Only kidding of course.. thanks for your concern, but I am perfectly well. I do sometimes worry though when quakes strike because the school I work in is 80 years old, which is ancient by Japanese standards. If a strong quake were to hit Noheji I think it would almost surely colapse.
