Scrabble

So today one of my JTE's jumped a class on me out of the blue. Luckily it was a small class of 9 girls, and I had something ready just in case of such an emergency.. Scrabble! I probably wouldn't have even thought of it, but Hugh has frequently told me about the magic of Scrabble and now I know why. The best part of class was when I learned a very important new Japanese word... chikubi, or teat! I explained to the girls the Japanese meaning of the word they just used to get a triple word score by looking it up in my trusty dictionary. They all had a good laugh and then some of them started poking at their boobs yelling 'Teats! Teats!'. Fun was had by all. Especially me.

I'm sure Jamie would like to see the guy in the photo's teats as well. I've never got that kind of reaction from my kids playing scrabble, but otherwise it's usually a hit!

Yes, Jamie, I admire your free-spiritedness within the halls of academia. I was playing Scrabble with my elective girls, too, yesterday, but I'm such an inhibited prude that I steered them toward "RUDE" away from the equally feasible "NUDE."

Oh and one more thing... in Japan isn't 'Rude' technically a lot worse than 'Nude'. I mean this is the land of politeness and onsens.

Steph if you go back to America, you'll be in serious onsen withdrawl. Maybe you should live in a nudist colony for a while just to adjust. I think pretty soon I'll be the only left in Aomori that hasn't seen you naked! ;)

You're probably right about rude vs. nude. And my kids sure could use some reanimating titilation, too.
