For my latest video I`ve decided to focus on the subject of combat. It includes footage from a Noheji High sports class demonstration, several Aomori summer festivals, a Michinoku wrestling show in Akita, a kendo demonstration at a special JET culture day I attended last week, a fire safety demonstration and Hugh in battle with a toy shark at Akiko`s house. The music comes from a CD of Japanese wrestling theme songs that Kate got for me a while back. It`s probably the most compelling take on the Survivor classic "Eye of the Tiger" since Weird Al Yankovic recorded "Theme from Rocky 13". If you`d like a copy you can download the MP3 here.

JamieThere's a great muzak version of Led Zepplin's Immigrant Song. I'll try to work it into a future video.

JamieI only use Adobe Premiere Pro for everything. For fancy stuff I suppose I could use After Effects, but I haven't played around with that much. If you're just starting out I suggest the free Windows Movie Maker or iMovie.

AlanaI really enjoy your site. Not only is it very informative about daily culture and general life in Japan but it is also entertaining. However, I am disappointed that you haven't posted any movies lately. I must admit I am very inspired by your artistic approach (i use Showbiz to edit my footage from a trip to Alaska), and I constantly check your site waiting for more....

Meanwhile, I read your great articles. (:
